This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a subscription.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a subscription.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!

Ok, so Kiminess did this little thing where she drew these little characters based off of Savannah's [lullabychild] bumblebee and spider fairies. She gave credit and what have you, but she never asked permission. Now I can understand if the artist is beyond contacting before doing such a thing, or if the artists had expressed permission to do so when they uploaded their art, however
Savannah never did that, and she's just a DA note away. So there's no excuse one that one.
Savannah contacts the girl [this can all be seen here], and as you can see it gets obviously ugly. Now if I blatantly copied some artist, and they told me to change my shit so it didn't look like their's, I wouldn't simply give change the arms of one of the character and leave the other one comepltely the fuck alone for the most part.
now seeing as Savannah didn't say don't say anything to the girl, and we all know semitheft via inspiration is a sore fucking spot for me from it happening basically every day with MY work, i commented:
good job not being original enough to come up with your own work. which i feel is often the entire point to an artist's being.
crowdreaction: boo
i see nothing untrue about any of that. the ideas were not her's, so therefore she didn't come up with her own work. she tweeked. it. if I decided to make a Invader Zim character and made it fluffier or in my style and added braids or it's hair of gave it cybernetic arms but still said it was based off a IZ, then um i think the world would notice that I ripped off Vasquez's shitty aliens.
her reaction?
Good job being a lap dog? Maybe?
Who knows.
And I gave credit, I let everyone know where the designs had originally come from.
And while you're working on re-reading the artist comments, look up post modernism.
SO let me do me and break down the babble:
Good job being a lap dog? Maybe?
Who knows.
No. Everyone Knows. That I'm fucking not, and that that must have also been a poor choice of insult. You could have said that I'm a nosy fucking troll, and you would have been correct. But lapdog? No. I have up licking a bitches feet for praise a long time ago.
This is simply because I have a thing about people being so heavily inspired by another artist's work that they draw basically the exact same thing. Credit given or no, it's still her's, and you didn't ask in the beginning. Which makes it theft, as your claiming these NEW characters to be your's. If it had been gift art of Savannah's characters, it obviously would have been understandable.
If she had given permission and/or stated in her art that it was alright to make your own of these, I wouldn't be needling you.
But
wot?
She didn't
And I gave credit, I let everyone know where the designs had originally come from.
As I stated above, who gives a fuck as long as she didn't give you permission in the first place
You know what? I'm gonna go make a character that looks exactly like Kangey [as they are inspired by that character], and just give her two little horn lumps in the middle of her head, as well as robotic fingers. But it's my character, and is not completely different from your's, got that?
look up post modernism
what does post modernism have to do with either pieces of these work? they in no way fall into that category, so I don't even know where the fuck you're going with that.
Maybe I should be looking up the phrase 'artistic liberties' instead, because that's what you took when revamping Savannah's drawings :]
on that note, she's banned/blocked me via being a little coward.
For some reason I find that extremely hard to believe. >_>;;;
Especially seeing as most of my inspiration to draw anthro characters comes from my friend *CorgiWings.
So, I don't know what you're talking about.
Also, I haven't seen hide nor hair of Amberdrake since she went AWOL.
So, unless I'm some kind of psychic, I don't really see how my art could possibly "wreek" of Amberdrake's style. >_>;;;
If you have the time, by all means, NOTE me with what you think I've stolen exactly.
